The Studio Gallery Yallingup is opening this week with its official launch on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010, 6 to 8 pm. If you would like to attend, RSVP to Lizzy – download the invite for details.

For the opening, I was approached by the Studio Gallery Yallingup to exhibit several of my large format black and white prints. I chose four prints from the south-west and south-coast regions of the state and one inland image from Hyden.

The Margaret River region is well endowed with quality galleries. The Studio Gallery is one of the region’s most recent purpose-built galleries, with a studio and an adjoining bistro. You can view and enjoy the variety of artworks and then stay and have a meal.

Located towards the Yallingup end of the Capes, it is well worth a visit if you are in the region. It’s just off Caves Road.

While it is certainly worthwhile checking out the local galleries, don’t forget to get out of your car and go for a walk! Sections of the coastline and Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park are inspirational. So tap directly into the much of the driving force behind the art produced in the region, get out and marvel at the nature of our south-west.
