The Canning River Regional Park is located 9 kilometres southeast of central Perth and is the largest regional park in the metropolitan area.
This book is a visual record of the parkland’s recreational use and beauty. An ecologically and socially important parkland. A secluded little pocket off to one side of major urbanisation, hidden from general view, almost lost in suburbia.
Unlike other pictorial collections, this one is current, ongoing visual record of the river and its surrounds from a single photographer.
I will be presenting a copy of the book to the Riverton Library for its City of Canning Local History Collection.
“Lost in Suburbia” can be ordered from Blurb. I also have some copies available for purchase. Soft Cover, 10×8 in, 25×20 cm 52 Pages
The exhibition runs for 3 weeks. If you live near the Canning River or are interested in the urban landscape you are invited to come along.
